Event

Camera Interactiva Pitch, December 10, 17:00h

How do you tell an interactive story?

How do you tell an interactive story about citizenship?

How do you tell an interactive story about citizenship with critique and creativity?

Come and explore these questions during a pitch of interactive stories, created by participants of the Camera Interactiva talent development programme!

This programme brings together artistic and academic expertise to encourage creative inquiry into topics that matter today. Six teams, each consisting of a student from the academia and a student from the arts (or a young creative professional), will present a pilot of an interactive story related to the theme of Citizenship, ranging from topics of refugee crisis and migration, to sustainable eating habits and digital citizenship.

The event will kick-off with an opening talk by Prof. Rosi Braidotti on ‘Click and Tell: Mediating the Humanities’. After the teams have pitched their projects, the jury of 4 professionals will decide which 3 of them will be awarded seed money for further development of their project: 5000 EUR in total will be distributed among the three short-listed teams. The evening will close with a poetry performance by a prize winning poet and assistant professor in EU law Hanneke van Eijken and an award ceremony.

Camera Interactiva is built on the idea that art is a form of research practice and knowledge is a source of creativity, and that there is an urgent need for greater hands-on collaboration between the academic, the civic and the cultural domains of the city. We invite you to come and explore this idea in practice during an evening of interactive stories, poetry and questions that matter.
